5 Remote Sessions + 5 Days of Coaching in La Ventana

Mouthfill eventually becomes necessary for every freediver.
But for many divers, learning it is frustrating. The mechanics are subtle, the timing is precise, and without the right structure it often turns into months—or years—of trial and error.
This workshop is designed to remove that uncertainty.
Through a combination of remote preparation and intensive in-water coaching, you’ll learn the exact skills required to perform mouthfill and apply it during real dives.
The goal is simple: you leave the workshop able to perform mouthfill.
Phase 1 — Remote Preparation

Before arriving, participants join five live online sessions with the same small group attending the workshop.
These sessions focus on developing the foundation required for mouthfill:

-
Understanding the mechanics of the technique
-
Learning the role of the tongue, soft palate, and glottis
-
Practicing dry drills to develop coordination
-
Identifying and correcting common mistakes
-
Preparing to apply the technique in the water
By the time you arrive, you’ll already understand the process and have begun practicing the movements.
This allows the water sessions to focus on real application and refinement, rather than starting from zero.
Phase 2 — Five Days of In-Water Training
Once in La Ventana, we spend five days diving, systematically developing the skills required to perform mouthfill during descent.
Training focuses on:

-
Charging the mouthfill
-
Anchoring lock transitions
-
Shallow management drills
-
Deep charge drills
-
Deep charge + management practice
-
Intro to FRC diving

Each diver receives individualized coaching during the dives, allowing specific problems to be identified and corrected quickly.

Small Group Format
The workshop is limited to four participants.
This small group size ensures that every diver receives close attention and detailed feedback throughout the week.
Prerequisites
This workshop is designed for freedivers who already have a solid equalization foundation.
Participants should:
-
Be comfortable using Frenzel equalization
-
Be diving approximately 20+ meters with ease
Guarantee
This program is designed around a single objective:
You learn mouthfill.
Through structured preparation, systematic training, and individualized coaching, participants who complete the program will learn to perform mouthfill during the workshop.
